Bird Library

Bird Library provides collections, resources, spaces and experts to support academic success. It houses study materials for the humanities and social sciences, audiovisual resources, government publications, maps, the Miron Learning Commons, the Mower Faculty Commons, the Blackstone LaunchPad for entrepreneurialism, special collections and archives and library administration.

Carnegie Library

Located on the Shaw Quadrangle, Carnegie Library provides a beautiful, historic reading room for quiet study. Its open layout is one of the most iconic study spaces on campus. It also has team rooms, computer workstations and a printer room available for use.

Located in Dineen Hall, the College of Law Library serves the educational and research needs of Syracuse University and the community. It holds library materials such as law databases, library catalogs, law e-journals and research guides.

Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library

The Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library, located in Sims Hall, reflects the African American studies curriculum. The collections and resources support interdisciplinary teaching and research about people of African descent, including highlighting Black lives, histories and cultural practices as the focus of systematic academic inquiry.

Special Collections

The Special Collections Research Center (SCRC) is home to Syracuse University’s primary source materials, including rare printed and archival resources like original manuscripts, photographs, artwork, audio and video recordings and much more. Open to students, faculty, staff and visitors, the SCRC provides an in-depth look, not only at our history, but also at topics ranging in time, format and academic interest.
